Small Footprint, Big Impact
Guest bathrooms are often built smaller than the rest of the house, which means that extra emphasis in their design should focus on how guests feel in them. For this project, we set out with a playful spirit to encourage guests spending time there to feel at their best.
Choose Finishes that Create a Sense of Space
Fun touches and lots of color ensure that each morning starts off right, and plenty of clean-lined surfaces keep this smaller space feeling rich in its offerings. With a love for light, we took the opportunity of creating a highly reflective surface area to add the feeling of space.
By placing floor to ceiling mirror on the vanity wall, guests can easily see where everything is, while feeling like the space they are in is large. Marble countertops reference the distinctive combination of brick pattern and rhombus shaped marble floor-to-ceiling tile in the shower. We always want to emphasize height, so taking each material to its most extreme point accomplishes exactly this.
Color Keeps it Fun
A beautiful clay color on the vanity captures a sense of fun while still feeling classic. Hand-painted blue and white marinière stripes on the walls add a hand-touched detail that makes everyone feel at home.
A Place for Everything
Organization is key in any small space to keep things from feeling cluttered. Here, signature collected containers of all shapes and sizes guarantee that any guest can safely store anything they wish, making this little piece of spirited heaven a great place to begin the day.
Big or small, we love helping our clients get the most out of every space. If you have an area in your own home that could use some attention, reach out today. We’d love to hear from you!
