Project Feature: A Modern Media Room —

A modern home with a minimalist tendency, the homeowners felt that despite their original aesthetic the home lived bare. We were brought in to marry simplicity with effervescence. Focusing in on a media / social space, we deftly divided the room up to serve more multi-functional needs.

A kitchenette is carved out for easy service, while the media area is ready for larger group viewing. A conversation place was designed for girls to hang out and swap stories long into the evening. With a modern selection of finishes and materials, we positioned pattern and color against a strong mix of metals. The result is an engaging space setting the tone nicely for this more contemporary structure.

Highlights: The ever-changing brushstroke-like reflective backsplash tile covering an entire wall, the built-in rounded table for perching in the eat-in area, the custom-designed curved sofa for everyone to pile on and the proportionately different sculptural light fixtures that flank the media center and frame the space.
